Spotlight on Glavovic Studio

Glavovic Studio will again be participating in this year's Art Fallout presenting a continuation of their acclaimed public talk series GS TALKS and the exhibition WATER SYSTEMS curated by Glavovic Studio.

The GS TALKS Series continues with a forum focusing on water titled Talks03 GROUNDWATER Conversations on WATER with Artists, Architects, Historians, Designers on Florida’s Future. The public is invited to engage with guest Artists, drawings and digital presentations in a dialogue about art and design for change. Guest speakers include David Rifkind and Holly Zickler : Precipitating a Solution; John Sandell : Projecting Retreat: Visioning Future Built Environments in Southern Florida and Margi Glavovic Nothard : Groundwater_Concepts 01. Presentation will begin at 7pm.

Pop up local culinary store, Thousand Pound Egg, will be providing a variety of artisanal finds for visitors.

Founded in 1999, Glavovic Studio Inc. is an award-winning design firm located in downtown Fort Lauderdale. Glavovic Studio explores and produces contemporary architecture, art and urban design, focusing on exceptional creative processes and client oriented services that engage the environment and provide social value.

Local projects include the renovation design of Girls' Club, the NSU Bridge Stair / Art Plaza_Threshold at the Museum of Art Fort Lauderdale, ArtsPark at Young Circle in Hollywood, Young at Art Museum/Broward County Library with AECOM in Davie and the recently completed affordable housing project Kennedy Homes on Broward Blvd between 9th and 11th Avenues.

Margi Glavovic Nothard

Margi Glavovic Nothard is an artist and the design principal of Glavovic Studio Inc. Her work demonstrates a tangible commitment to creating intelligent, sustainable beauty in the public’s daily lives.

Through drawings, photographs, large scale installations, architecture and urban design Glavovic Nothard prompts her audience to slow down and experience the place they are in. Margi’s most recent work – FLOW:  a large scale public art project addressing over 9000SF of exterior breezeway and plaza space in the new Broward County Courthouse project is in the conceptual design phase and will transform an exterior public space in downtown Fort Lauderdale connecting justice, environment, history and downtown urban spaces with intimate urban moments of community and reconciliation – making new urban connections and thin moments of exquisite beauty.
